And then there was that one time where I actually got a decent picture of Tesla. xD Sorry tesla’s tumblr has been a bit dead lately. We’ve been moving and I was busy with school and she’s been settling into the new place pretty nicely. :D I hope to get some more adorable corgi pictures of her sooooon.

Tesla graduated her first puppy class today! :D She was so adorable. We still have a lot to work on, but she’s getting there. Come is one of our main problem child’s. But I’m hoping to take her to a dog park next week. Not sure which one. But yeah! She still has a problem with guys, but we were given a few tips to help with it, but I doubt she’ll ever be totally okay with guys.

So, Tesla has a problem. We can’t really give her any sort of plush toy. She is definitely a HEAVY chewer, and she just ends up eating her toys if they are plush. But I feel bad because the only toys she really can have are her kongs now. I have a few plush toys that we play fetch with, but I’d like to be able to get her something she can just entertain herself with.

For awhile whenever she would get bored and we couldn’t play with her, I just would give her a rawhide bone. Unfortunately she has too sensitive of a stomach and like I said, she’s a heavy chewer, so she eats through them really fast without hydrating herself and… it’s just bad.

So, does anyone have any suggestions about what kinds of toys she might be able to have? I mean, she loves her kongs, and she has a rubber nylabone… I just wish I could get her to stop eating her toys so I could get her something soft to chew on that will last? Something that isn’t a pig skin roll or a rawhide bone. even bully sticks only last about 30 minutes now.

So, Tesla’s been my test subject for my photography project. xD; Unfortunately I cannot use any of these pictures because we’re not allowed to take photo’s of pets for the actual project. But she’s been helpful to get in some movement practice. Unfortunately, the lights just aren’t good enough for the quick shutter speed needed. D: I also forgot that the camera was set to the highest ISO. But I’m still learning, and it’s an old camera. x.x; I did try though! So enjoy, a few derpy photo’s of Tesla.

Also, any help on capturing moving subjects would be helpful. We can’t use flash either, so there’s another problem I’m having. What kind of settings does everyone use to capture photo’s of their quick-to-run-away-pups?

So, I borrowed my dad’s DSLR for my photography class this semester, and I now know all about f-stops, shutter speeds, ISO settings. All that delicious camera jargon. Granted, my professor doesn’t want us taking photo’s of pets for our assignments so I’ll be doing it in my extra time, but at least now I have a proper camera that will take better photo’s then my point and click. xD Hooray!

Also, I’ll finally be enrolling Tesla in training courses soon!

I’m pretty sure Tesla FINALLY lost all her puppy teeth. Hopefully this was the last one. Her two bottom fang puppy teeth did NOT seem to want to come out, finally the last of them came out! She’s no longer shark mouth! Haha… but man it’s really late in the game for her to have lost them this late… or do puppies usually take awhile to loose all their teeth? (She’s aaaaaalmost nine months now)

Also, today I got Tesla’s stitches removed. They were supposed to dissolve, and yesterday was the 10th day so we removed her cone, but she started pulling on the parts poking out and causing herself to bleed. So we put the cone back on for the night and today I took her to the clinic and they said she was fine and removed the stitches. She hasn’t really even messed with the area since then, and I hope it stays that way.

Though for those who thought this procedure would calm her down? I just don’t think that’s possible. xD She’s just as energetic, if not more, then she was before. xD

Whelp, this is her new cone. The white is obviously reflector fabric which is nice when she has to go potty at night. This is also the only way she’ll lay down… On my leg on the couch. Otherwise she’s just sitting or standing. She’s definitely better today. I ended up taking the cone off for a bit so she could eat the wet/dry food mix to get some food in her. I let her kinda roam about without it on for a bit to see how she’d react to the stitching without the collar on. She was fine until she went to lay down and chew a toy. She could have just been cleaning since she had peed not too long ago, but I didn’t want to risk it. So the collar is back on but at least I know she won’t immediately go for the stitching if I take it off for a bit.

Poor baby!

I feel so bad for her. ;-; I wish she had a regular meal schedule so I could just take the collar off her and she could eat. But she just eats sporadically throughout the day and it’s hard for her to get to her food because of the collar. Tomorrow I’ll see how she’s feeling and maybe try to give her some of the wetfood so she’ll eat it as soon as I put it down. We’ll see. I’m still so new to all this. I hate that I can’t really do anything but sit and watch her mope about, she hates the collar so much. All’s I can do is just give her lots of loving and hope tomorrow she’ll be back to her normal puppy-self, since I know she’s still under drugs at the moment. At least she’s got the squishy cone now so she can lay and semi be comfortable.

Sorry for the kinda pointless post. I just feel so bad for her. I didn’t realize it’d end up being this hard afterwards. I dunno why I didn’t really think about it.
